Hi everyone, I know it's been like forever since I updated a journal on Deviant Art and you probably already wrote me off as dead or uninterested in keeping contact.

Truthfully, things have been hectic and I've just been frequenting other parts of the Internet because they were more relevant to me, so I apologize if you felt slighted for my lack of following DeviantArt, but the amount of good artists here are heavily outweighed by the bad. Regardless, if you are reading this, you are probably one of those I consider good ones. I've just seen a lot of bad ones here after frequenting SomethingAwful.com but nothing regarding any of the friends I've made here. So there's that.

Right now I'm kind of desiring to call out and saying I'm in the middle of developing a 2D game as a hobby project with a buddy of mine and we're kinda wanting someone more capable of drawing if they'd be willing to work with us on this project. However, until further we're considering this a NON-PROFIT development. If you want to get a salary, that isn't the kind we're looking for. We can't promise anything at this point, besides a chance to learn and practice your skills in a practical sense. But if we decide to do turn it into a profit based development, then we'll of course work out an agreement at that time.

What I'm basically saying is, we're making this game, but we don't want to use placeholder resources and if you want to be a cool dude that can help us with a cool look, we'll be happy with you. Naturally, I expect you "get what you pay for" so if you don't feel like working on the project anymore or if you have to bail on us for private reasons, that becomes completely up to you. If you feel like just drawing like crappy stick figures at some point, then that's what we get. Sorry to rant on about this.

The Game Itself:

Taking inspiration from our own worlds history, the game will start in the 14th century, but take some severe deviance from history in that Vampires exist and Witches exist. In this current time frame, the crusades have ended and the Black Death is around the corner. The Vampires run behind the scenes, running institutions of power and the Magical Society is accepted by the people and a big part of every day life at this point. The player assumes the role of a noble little girl whom has been trained since child to practice the art of magic, which is forbidden by the Catholic Church. Her parents are keeping this secret and incapable of casting magic themselves, having found their daughter be lucky enough to be born with a talent for magic. They pretend to be very religious to prevent the Church from just burning down their castle. Eventually our little princess gets into her rebellious years and decides to run away with a son of a french noble, who came to their castle to try to promote horse trade. Upon eloping, they became adventurers, avoiding roads and his fathers establishments, which is how they ended up at his uncles place, near the Swizz-Italian borders of France, and summarily landed upon a vampire gathering and were both murdered.

Our main character awakens four days later in her grave and that is when our game begins...
